LOGAN, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A Farmington girl died from injuries sustained in a multiple-vehicle accident near Logan on Highway 89 Saturday afternoon.

Madison Urland, 3, was wearing her seatbelt at the time a vehicle rammed into the back of the car she was in with her grandmother, mother and brother.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old female driving northbound in an SUV approached a slow moving passenger car at a high rate of speed, which was occupied by a 70-year-old female and her family from Bountiful, traveling the same direction. The SUV collided with the passenger car causing it to travel across the median into oncoming traffic, clipping a southbound vehicle driven by a 65-year-old male from Box Elder County.

The family's car, containing four occupants, was the only vehicle with passengers sustaining injuries. All occupants of that vehicle were transported to Logan Regional Hospital by ambulance. A 3-year-old female was later flown by Life Flight to Primary Children's Hospital - her mother was air lifted to Intermountain Medical Center.

Urland died Sunday from injuries sustained in the accident she was involved in Saturday. Authorities say she was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
