Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of the '100 Deadliest Days' of travel on Utah roads. The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is urging driver to be vigilant and stay safe this summer.
According to UDOT's most recent fatality report, 64 traffic fatalities have occurred in Utah to-date. Fatalities this year are trending higher than at the same time in 2013, and it is important to note that the average number of fatalities we see on Utah roads during the '100 Deadliest Days' is 96-nearly a fatality a day.
Public Information Officer John Gleason visits to talk about a new campaign that should slow the number of fatalities this summer.
