CASCADE, Idaho Engine trouble and not the weather may have been a factor in a suspected plane crash in Idaho. The plane disappeared from radar on Sunday. Search crews are still looking for them.

Crews have it narrowed down to about a 2-4 mile radius where they think the aircraft might be.

After celebrating Thanksgiving in San José California, Dale Smith was flying his son Daniel and his wife Sheree home to Butte Montana Sunday.Family members say Smith, The CEO of a Silicon Valley Tech firm, is an expert pilot.

The last leg of their trip started in Baker City Oregon and was supposed to take them over the continental divide to Butte. But near Yellow Pine, Idaho, Smith radioed he was having engine trouble and wanting to land at a nearby airport.

The single engine Beech Bonanza never made it.

Smith's daughter Amber and Jonathan Norton, her fiancé were also on the flight. Both are students at BYU. He'd come to Thanksgiving dinner to meet her family.
