Report: Jazz to reach out to John Stockton about coaching job

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - According to an ESPN.com report, the Utah Jazz will reach out to John Stockton about his interest in the vacant head coaching job.
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - According to a report by Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the Utah Jazz plan on reaching out to Hall of Fame point guard John Stockton to gauge his interest in the team's head coaching job.

Stockton, the NBA's all-time leader in assists and steals, has never been a coach in the NBA. Since his retirement from the NBA in 2003, Stockton has maintained a very private and secluded life, making few public appearances, a lifetstyle that would go against what was needed to be an NBA head coach.

Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey declined comment about the report. The team is still narrowing its list of candidates to interview for the job that opened when Tyrone Corbin's contract was not renewed three weeks ago.
