Legendary drivers like Jeremy McGrath, Brian Deegan, Rob MacCachren, Carl Renezeder will highlight the 2-day racing event.
With 800-horse power trucks reaching speeds of 80-90 miles per hour and flying well over 100 feet through the air, it's no wonder this has become the most popular event at the track.
"Utah being an outdoor state and everybody out riding motorcycles, off-roading, people taking quads out, that type of thing," said track director Brian Smith. "The dirt just kind of falls in pretty naturally with that. It's pretty exciting to watch."
It is exciting to watch, but more exciting to try.
Riverton's own professional racer Jerry Daugherty gave Good 4 Utah's Dana Greene the ride of a lifetime. Click on the video to see if he survived.
Daugherty proves that age doesn't matter. All you need is a love for racing.
"I'm 63," he said. "It' an amazing sport. The adrenaline rush is unbelievable. Thank God I'm still healthy and can still do it. I've got a lot to be thankful for."
The Lucas Off-Road Racing series runs June 21-22 in Tooele.
