OREM, Utah (ABC 4 Sports) - The Hurricane Tigers swept through the 3A volleyball championship game, winning the title over Desert Hills in three straight games, 25-19, 25-19 and 25-11.

The Thunder had beaten the Tigers three times in the last two months, but could not get it done when it counted the most.

"The last two years we thought we were the better team," said head coach Daniel McKeehan. "But we had late season injuries, and for them to come through the way they did, I mean Desert Hills is a great team, and to come through the way they did, I'm really proud of them."

Brooklyn Gubler led the Tigers with 15 kills. The championship is Hurricane's first since 2008.

In the 2A title match, Enterprise swept San Juan, 25-22, 25-12, 25-19. The Wolves finish the year with a record of 33-2.
