MIDWAY, Utah (ABC 4 Sports) - BYU's Cole Ogden pulled away from former Southern Utah University star Jeff Evans on the final 18 holes to win the 115th Utah State Amateur title, 6 & 4.

Ogden fell behind by three holes early, but rallied to even the match after 18.

Ogden, who will be a junior this fall at BYU, then won 8 of the next 14 holes to claim the championship. He clinched the title with a birdie on the 14th green.

In three previous tries at the State Am, the 21-year-old from West Point had never made it past the first round of match play eliminations.
