Blaze resolve arena issue

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - The Utah Blaze have resolved their financial issue with EnergySolutions Arena, and will play their home games there for the rest of the season.
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - The Utah Blaze announced today that the franchise has rectified its rent obligations to the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies and EnergySolutions Arena. The team will play the remainder of the 2013 season at EnergySolutions Arena as originally scheduled. Utah is set to take on the San Jose SaberCats this Saturday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m. MT.

“We are pleased that the contractual obligations have been resolved and we look forward to Utah Blaze Arena Football at EnergySolutions Arena on Saturday and in the future,” said Jim Olson, Chief Operating Officer of Miller Sports Properties.

EnergySolutions Arena will remain the home of the Utah Blaze throughout the 2013 season and beyond, as the franchise resumes its original multi-year contract.

“Not only have we secured the immediate future of the franchise, but we have taken the first step towards building a foundation for long-term success,” said Utah Blaze owner Kim Brown. “We realize the length of this process may have created question marks in the minds of some of our fans, but rest assured the Utah Blaze is here to stay.”

The Utah Blaze will honor this moment in franchise history by releasing an exclusive commemorative t-shirt, available while supplies last on RallyMe.com. Fans are encouraged to wear orange and black to this Saturday’s game to rally behind the Blaze and show their support.

“We feel like this is a monumental event for the Utah Blaze and we want to be able share it with our community,” Brown explained. “Fans will look back on this as a turning point in the history of the franchise and we want to give them a way to remember it. The shirt is a way for fans to show their support and rally behind the team as we enter a new era of Utah Blaze Arena Football.”

The Utah Blaze will host the San Jose SaberCats this Saturday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m. MT.
