Runnin' Utes guard Devon Daniels suspended indefinitely

Larry Krystkowiak suspends Daniels for "conduct detrimental to the team"

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 Sports) - Runnin' Utes freshman guard Devon Daniels has been suspended indefinitely from the team by head coach Larry Krystkowiak.

Just a couple hours before Utah's game against Colorado, Krystkowiak released the following statement:

“Devon Daniels has been suspended from the team indefinitely, due to conduct detrimental to the team.”

Daniels did not make the trip with the team to Boulder, Colo., and this will be the only statement that coach Krystkowiak will make on the suspension.

Daniels has played in all 27 games this season, starting 26 of them. He's averaging 10.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game for the Utes.

He scored a career-high 24 points on January 21st at Washington. But Daniels has reached double figures in scoring in just one of Utah's past seven games.

The Utes have three games remaining before the Pac-12 Tournament.
