SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 Sports) - Luis Gil scored a goal in the 88th minute as Real Salt Lake rallied for a 1-1 draw against Club Tijuana in an international friendly at Rio Tinto Stadium.

After a scoreless first half in a downpour, Edgar Villegas scored in the 77th minute to give the Xolos a 1-0 lead. But Gill sent the 13,222 fans home satisfied with his dramatic goal.

On the downside, RSL midfielder John Stertzer got injured and had to be carted off the field. Head coach Jeff Cassar said it was a tibia injury, but it didn't appear to be broken.

RSL now gets ready for a battle for first place in the Western Conference with the Seattle Sounders Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. RSL trails the Sounders by two points headed into Saturday's showdown.
