SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 Sports) - No team could compete with Olympus High all season long, and the 5A championship game was no different.
Utah-bound Rylan Jones scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, as the Titans capped a perfect undefeated season with a 76-49 blowout win over Corner Canyon to win its second state championship in school history.
Olympus, which avenged a heartbreaking double-overtime loss in the championship game last year, ended the year with a record of 27-0.
"I think they were very determined the whole year," said head coach Matt Barnes. "To play the way we played, to win the way we won many games was just unbelievable. I think you'll talk about this team for the ages."
Harrison Creer scored 16 of his 21 points in the the first half, as the Titans raced out to a 46-24 lead at the break.
Jeremy DowDell added 13 points, as Olympus shot a blistering hot 67 percent from the field.
"Unbelievable," DowDell said. "We have so many great guys on this team, so many different guys who can score. That's the beauty of this team, we have so many different guys, so many options, it's tough to guard."
"It's kind of astounding to look back at it, to look back and just saw wow," added Creer. "We just played amazing, and it was just awesome."
Blake Emery led the Chargers with 12 points.
