GANGNEUNG, South Korea (AP) - AJ Mleczko understands there is not a lot of women's hockey on television outside the Olympics. Mleczko took home Olympic gold with the U.S. in 1998 and silver in 2002. She took on a broadcaster's role for the 2006 Games. And now she will make the transition to men's hockey at the NHL level for at least one day when she does color analysis on NBC's national broadcast March 6 when the Detroit Red Wings visit the Boston Bruins.

GANGNEUNG, South Korea (AP) - Canadian defenseman Jocelyne Larocque apologized Friday for taking off her silver medal almost immediately after it was placed around her neck at the Pyeongchang Olympics. Larocque, a two-time Olympian, then held onto the medal during the medal ceremony following the United States' 3-2 shootout victory over Canada on Thursday. Canada had won the previous four gold medals in women's hockey.

PYEONGCHANG, South Korea (AP) - Kelsey Serwa turned to best friend and Olympic roommate Brittany Phelan in the starting gate before the women's skicross final and went through the ritual one more time. The Canadian teammates bumped fists then began chanting "Here we go!" in an over exaggerated accent that would sound right at home back in The Great White North. "That's what we need to get fired up," Serwa said with a laugh. "It says everything in three words."
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - The New Jersey Devils have acquired speedy winger Michael Grabner from the New York Rangers in the first trade between the cross-river rivals. New Jersey sends a 2018 second-round draft pick and 20-year-old defensive prospect Yegor Rykov to New York. The teams announced the deal Thursday night after the Devils lost to the Minnesota Wild at home and the Rangers lost to the Montreal Canadiens on the road.
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) - The Florida Panthers have honored victims of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School with a somber video tribute before their game against the Washington Capitals. The arena video screen Thursday night showed the names and faces of each of the 17 students who were killed on Valentine's Day in nearby Parkland. The darkened ice was then illuminated with 17 circles of light, with a student's name inside each one.
