Family expecting quintuplets asking for prayers

ST. GEORGE, Utah (News4Utah) - The Scott family who is expecting quintuplets are still in Phoenix receiving specialized care and their St. George community is raising money to help them with a soccer tournament on Saturday morning at The Fields at Little Valley.

"They've helped out the community for years. It really feels good to give back to a family like that, who could use some help right now," said Travis Tew, the Tournament Director and friend.

"We couldn't be more touched, we couldn't be more grateful, nor could be adequately express the love that we have for the St. George Community," said Skyler Scott.

As their neighbors prepare for tomorrow's fundraiser, the Scott family says that at 25 and a half weeks of pregnancy, it's a miracle that their five babies are still alive and growing after the water broke for one of the babies.

"At that point they told us they were going to deliver all five babies that day, and obviously at 21 and a half weeks there would be nothing that they could do," said Skyler.

Mom Jamie was admitted to the hospital where she's been ever since and they asked everyone back home, and on social media, to pray.

"People just started praying," said Skyler. "It's not just this community. Really it's the whole nation and the whole world who care," said Tew. And then something happened ... "The sac is actually sealed over ... Even some very experienced doctors who have looked at everything have said it's nothing more than a miracle," said Skyler.

Jamie is on bed rest and at the hospital until the five babies arrive.

"Her attitude and poise and grace, which has always been strong, somehow when you think she couldn't amaze you more, she does. And her grace, I mean she's just so amazing about this, so we're taking this day by day," said Skyler.
