Breakfast Recipe One: Protein Pancakes

Here's the first of 7 healthy breakfast recipes you can use for your healthy summer meal plan

Wellness Coach Nick Olsen shares easy tips on how to turn a typical pancake breakfast into a healthy one! 

Simple substitutes such as applesauce for oil and egg whites for water can make your breakfast a healthy and nutrient-packed way to start your morning.


Protein pancakes

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup bisquick pancake mix
  • 1/2 liquid egg whites
  • 2 tbsp apple sauce
  • 1 scoop Optimum Nutrition Caramel Toffee Fudge 100% Whey Protein (you can use any protein powder you like!)

Directions:

  1. Pour pancake batter into a mixing bowl

  2. Add egg whites and the applesauce

  3. Add protein powder and mix batter together

  4. Pour batter onto medium-high heat and flip when pancake begins to form

Toppings:

  • 1 tbsp Greek yogurt

  • Chocolate hazelnut peanut butter

  • Sliced strawberries
