Breakfast Recipe Four: Oatmeal and Fruit

Yummy, filling and healthy... Can't get any better than that!
Oatmeal is perfect for a busy morning. Allow your oats to simmer while you finish getting ready for work or your kids ready for school. Top with all the goodies, and enjoy!


Oatmeal with Fruit

Ingredients:

•1/2 cup steel cut oats
•1 cup water
•Fresh or frozen fruit
•Milk
•Cinnamon or cacao powder
•Honey

Directions:
  1. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil
  2. add steal cut oats to boiling water
  3. Cover pot and allow to simmer for about 7 minutes
  4. Once oats have absorbed water, scoop oatmeal into a bowl
  5. Add a hefty handful of fresh or frozen fruit of your choice
  6. Add a splash some low fat milk 
  7. Drizzle raw honey
  8. Sprinkle cacoa powder or cinnamon
