USU superfan Captain Aggie passes away

Had been battling Parkinsons Disease

LOGAN, Utah (ABC4 Utah) - There is sadness tonight at Utah State.

The school's biggest sports fan has passed away.

For almost 50 years, Captain Aggie has been at almost every sporting event at the school. His name is Andy Pedersen and his love for the Aggies started when he was a student.

For the past 20 years, he has been battling Parkinsons Disease.

He was not just a fan, he was a fanatic, but only for Utah State.

Captain Aggie passed away peacefully at his home in Smithfield. He will be honored at upcoming Utah State games this fall.
