Uintah County wildfire burned nearly 2,500 acres

UINTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC4)-A wildfire in Uintah County has burned 2,453 acres east of Bonanza, Utah. 

Stanton Road is closed. Highway 45 was also closed, but it has since re-opened. 

The fire started in a an area containing Gilsonite, which is a flammable and potentially hazardous material. 

Power lines have been damaged and some poles will need to be replaced. Also, a pipeline has suffered minor damage. No homes have been threatened. 

Sunday officials said the fire was 85% contained.

50 personnel fight the flames from Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Services, local and Uintah County firefighters.
