Three robbery suspects in custody after standoff in Midvale

MIDVALE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) - A S.W.A.T. standoff in Midvale ended peacefully earlier today.

It happened around 3:45 p.m. at 134 East Carlson Avenue at a private home.

Unified Police say they have been looking for three armed robbery suspects ever since an October 30th incident at a Midvale nail salon where they tried to steal a bike using guns.

They tracked them down to the home this afternoon. Two of the suspects surrendered, but a third stayed inside the home.

"We made phone contact with that person, they refused to come out, denied any wrongdoing," Lt. Brian Lohrke told ABC4. "We continued that communication with the suspect and eventually the suspect did come out of the home."

There were no shots fired and no injuries. All three suspects are now in custody.
