Make-A-Wish hopes to make 2017 the biggest year in Utah history.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) - Hundreds of Utahns opened their hearts and their wallets this weekend for the Make-A-Wish program.

The organization held their biggest fundraiser, the ‘Evening of Wishes’ gala, was packed at the Grand America Hotel.

They saw videos of kids waiting for a wish. And some of the wish kids were in the audience.

Nate Wade Subaru raised $28,000 to add to the evening’s goal.

Make-A-Wish Utah CEO, Jared Perry, told Good4Utah “I don’t have the final totals, but its hundreds of thousands   of dollars we raised   because our community is very generous.  there's kids that are in need out there  and its really humbling and amazing   to see the generosity of individuals   who come together and   step up and change a kids life   they don't even know.”

Right now they have at least 176 kids waiting to have their wishes granted.
