SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) Weather didn't seem to stop several members of the Junior League of Salt Lake from marching against human trafficking Saturday morning.
The march began at 10 a.m. at 400 South 700 East and ended at the Public Safety Building on 500 South and 300 East.
A press conference was also held with Backyard Broadcast, Salt Lake Police Attorney General's Office and members of the Salt Lake Junior League. A self defense course was also scheduled for after the press conference.
Members want the community to know that human trafficking is happening in our backyards and they want to bring awareness and let people know that young people who engage in sexual acts are victims, not criminals.
