Hikers rescued after being trapped on Mount Superior

ALTA, Utah (ABC4 Utah) - Two hikers are making their way down Mount Superior after being trapped there early Saturday evening

Unified Police and Little Cottonwood SAR responded to the area around 7:30 pm. After a two and a half hour hike, the pair were located and begun their descent down the mountain shortly after 10 pm.

The hikers, a 22-year-old male and an 18-year-old female, are reported to be in good condition and have no injures.

It is not determined how the pair became trapped on the mountain.
