Female Store Clerk Shot Multiple Times in American Fork

The suspect believed to be clerk's estranged husband

AMERICAN FORK, Utah (ABC4 News)  UPDATE: The victim in this incident has been identified as Tina Marie Lowe. Through our investigation we believe the suspect in this incident is Tina's estranged husband, Michael Darrin Lowe.

Late this afternoon Lehi Police Department officers located the suspect's abandoned vehicle in Lehi. An extensive search of the area was conducted using resources from the Lehi and American Fork Police Departments, Utah County Sherriff and the Department of Public Safety without locating the suspect. At this time Michael Lowe is considered armed and dangerous and possibly suicidal.

Tina Lowe has undergone extensive surgeries throughout the day and is listed in critical condition.

A store clerk in American Fork was found with multiple gunshot wounds by a customer Saturday morning. 

Lt Gregg Ludlow, American Fork Police said they received a call at 6:42 a.m. from a customer at a convenience store located at 312 North West State Road on a report of a female gunshot victim.

The 39-year-old victim was working as the store clerk when the incident occurred. The victim was transported to Intermountain Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds.

Ludlow said they are not releasing the victim’s name pending notification of family. The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.
