PLEASANT GROVE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) - There was a memorial service and a celebration of life today for a West Valley man who died off the coast of Hawaii.
Friends and family gathered in pleasant grove to pray and then to remember Steven Espinoza’s life through pictures and telling stories.
Steven was taking pictures off the coast of Maui when a wave knocked him into the ocean.
Most of the people in attendance remembered how he made friends everywhere he went.
Espinoza’s step-father, Peter George, told Good4Utah “I think his adventure, his love for life, he just loved everything. He embraced everything and got involved in everything.”
Despite repeated searches by the Coast Guard, Steven’s body was never found.
