Armed robbery in Rose Park leads to pursuit and arrest in Taylorsville

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC4) - Two people are in jail today after they robbed a man in Rose Park near 600 s 200 w and led police on a pursuit through West Jordan that ended in Taylorsville on Saturday morning. 

The incident began when the alleged robbers, 20-year-old Kenny Reyos and 25-year-old Alma Yanagui, agreed to meet up with the victim at a 7-Eleven.  They all got in a car together when the Reyos and Yanagui robbed the victim of his wallet and cell phone at gun point, said police. 

Yanagui and Reyos fled in a truck. They led police on a pursuit through West Jordan and into Taylorsville, where the suspects got out of their car, split up and tried to escape on foot. 

West Valley City Police Department K-9 Unit dogs tracked alleged robbers who were discovered and arrested. 

Police don't know whether the case is gang-related.
