MILLCREEK, Utah (ABC4 Utah) - A 19-year-old man was hospitalized after a shooting in Millcreek Thursday evening, police say.
It happened in the area of 4000 South 500 East. Police were called to investigated a case of shots fired around 5:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found evidence of a shooting: blood and shell casings, but no victim.
A short time later, detectives received a call from St. Mark's Hospital about a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound and police connected the two incidents.
Police say the shooting may be gang-related. A vehicle reportedly pulled up near the victim, words were exchanged and then shots were fired.
Friday morning police said they have a 14-year-old suspect in custody. The other suspect is still on the loose. Police confirmed the two suspects are known gang members.
