How to stick to your diet and keep results long-term

2/6/2018 - SALT LAKE CITY, Utah(News4Utah) Almost everyone that has tried to lose weight has had the experience of following a diet, only to get frustrated because they don't lose enough weight or they don't lose it fast enough.  Ross Jardine, Co-Founder and Clinic Director of Skinny Utah, shared some things you can do to make it easier to stick to your diet and keep the weight off long-term.

Jardine says the short answer is Discipline.  To reach your weight loss goal and keep the weight off, you need to have the discipline to stick to the plan when you're tempted to eat something bad. He says most of us lack discipline. The single best way Skinny Utah has found to help people become more disciplined, is to do the program with someone else. A spouse, a friend or partner. When his clients have someone do the program with them, they almost always do better than those who do it alone.

This works because of the accountability factor. That's why many people fail when they diet on their own. That's also the reason that every client at Skinny Utah will work directly with a weight loss coach.

Skinny Utah is offering a Valentine's Day special for couples. Two people can participate in their proven program, and the second person only pays half price. If you share that savings, it's the lowest price they've ever offered.

Steven and Cheryl and they just finished the program, and they did it together as a couple. Steven lost 32 pounds, and Cheryl lost 24. They like to think of it as 2 of their grandchildren. They said that doing the program together made all the difference. Even thought they're finished, they still use some of the things they learned to make sure they keep the weight off. These tools include a daily tracking form where they track their weight and food. If they start drifting away from their goal weight, they can support each other to get back on track. They said they feel better, they sleep better and they both are finally happy with their appearance.
