Thomas Estrada is a Sandy animator who will be hosting paint night at Waffle Love in Midvale on October 6 at 7:00 p.m.
He didn't start his career as an artist. Instead he was working in pest control. Thomas broke into animation 20 years ago in 1997 on DreamWorks' inaugural animated film, The Prince of Egypt. He also worked on The Road to El Dorado. Thomas then joined Disney Feature Animation and has worked on The Tigger Movie, Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis: The Lost Empire and more. He returned again to DreamWorks where he helped animate several more films.
Thomas also has worked in the video game industry.
Today he's currently working as a lead animator at a game studio in Salt Lake City.
