Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association's national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women.
Cardiovascular diseases is the number one killer of women. Every 80 seconds, a woman's life is claimed. But 80 percent of cardiovascular diseases may be prevented. You should learn your family history because you can control some risk factors such as blood pressure, smoking, cholesterol and lack of regular physical activity. There are five health numbers all women should know: total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index (BMI).
Macy's once again is supporting Go Red For Women. Customers will be able to shop exclusive, limited-edition dresses from Calvin Klein and Thalia Sodi as well as a specialty t-shirt from Thalia Soidi.
Alicia Richmond from Chic on a Shoestring joined Midday to show off the styles.
You can find them at select Macy's stores and on macys.com/GoRed.
