Woman jumps out 3rd story window attempting to escape police

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC 4 UTAH) - A woman jumped out of a 3rd story window while she was running away from police in West Valley early Wednesday morning.

Police say they were serving a felony warrant for her arrest when she locked herself inside a room. Police broke down the door and that's when she decided to jump out the window. She didn't make it far as she broke several bones from the fall.

She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police have not released the woman's name or age at this time.
