Witnesses say they heard an explosion just before 10:45 Wednesday morning. As many as six storage units were damaged by either smoke or fire.
At this time investigators are still trying to rule things out. They say in storage fires likes this it's often difficult to process the scene.
Brian Anderton Battalion Chief Unified Fire Authority told ABC 4 Utah, "Whether this was a case of someone who took up residence in one of the units and maybe had cooking or other amenities in there or whether this was something along the lines of an illegal drug operation or meth lab.”
While they’re unsure what caused the fire, they believe one couple may have the answers. A man and a woman were taken in for questioning at the scene.
Anderton said, "They were in the area of the storage unit and were displaying some suspicious behavior. They just seemed out of place."
