Ten-year-old boy injured after being hit while riding his bike

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) – A 10-year-old boy is in critical condition Friday evening after he was hit while riding his bike.

It happened around 4:30 p.m.

Police say the boy was riding on the sidewalk at 1180 South and 4000 West going the direction of traffic. There was red light in his direction of travel, but he continued into traffic.

The boy was hit by a vehicle that had a green signal.

The boy was transported to the hospital with head trauma and a broken arm.

The boy was not wearing a helmet.
