Policy changes start for bus drivers in Canyons School District

SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Wednesday new policies start for some special needs children who take the bus in the Canyons School District.

They come after a former bus driver was accused of sexually abusing two kids.

Parents will now assist their kids getting on the bus, and buckling in to the seat belts.

When the bus arrives at school, aides will get on the bus and help the kids exit so bus drivers will not have to.
