Police looking for fugitive that has escaped them three times

- MIDVALE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Police are asking for your help to track down a dangerous and very elusive fugitive.

Cody James Carpenter has escaped police three times over the last week.

Carpenter is wanted for several outstanding warrants.

On Wednesday July 30th, he got away from police on a stolen motorcycle.

Then on Friday August 1st, he escaped officers in a different vehicle.

On Saturday August 2nd, police officers received information that he'd be near 7500 South Southcrest Circle in Midvale.

They spotted Carpenter in a car, pulled it over, but he got out and ran.

Police arrested the driver of the car, his wife Erin Marie Hansen, but were unable to track down where carpenter ran off too.

“We're looking for this individual, we want to catch him and get him off the roadway because he doesn't have any fear to run and put other peoples lives in danger in a vehicle while he's trying to flee from us,” said Detective Jared Richardson with Unified Police.

Carpenter is a white man, about 5’10” tall, with a slender build, shaved head, blue eyes and a double tear tattoo under his left eye.

If you know where Carpenter is, give Unified Police a call at 801-743-7000
