Police arrest wanted man after high-speed chase

UPDATE: Jorge Zamora has now been arrested thanks to the West Jordan Police Department.  He's now in the Salt Lake County Jail.

MURRAY, Utah (Good 4 Utah) - Police need your help to find a man who led them on a high-speed chase early Sunday morning.

It began near 7800 South State Street, lasted about eleven minutes, before ending near 100 West Fireclay Avenue.

Police tell us that Jorge Zamora sas the driver.

Once the car chase ended, Zamora ran off and was able to escape police.

He's wanted on several outstanding felony warrants.

“He has right now 8 outstanding warrants for his arrest, all felonies, including possession of a controlled substance, theft and fleeing from officers,” said Lt. Justin Hoyal with the Unified Police Department. “He should be considered armed and dangerous.”

Police believe Zamora may also be linked to a number of bank robberies in Salt Lake County.
