SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Utah) - We now know why Chief Deputy Rick Findlay resigned from the Salt Lake Police Department

Police chief Chris Burbank says Findlay's actions didn't rise to the level of termination, but he did accept his resignation.

According to the documents, when Findlay was a lieutenant on the SWAT team, he found officers passing around a sexually subjective photo of a female officer and didn't stop it.

He’s also accused of showing other pictures of officers on his cell phone during a business trip.

Findlay served on the force for 20 years and will receive part of his benefits.
