Lyft arrives in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - A new app is making it easier to get around Salt Lake City. Lyft launches Friday, April 18 at 7 p.m.

With Lyft, passengers are connected via smartphone to background-checked community drivers, and rides will be available from North Salt Lake all the way down to Provo.

According to Lyft, these safe, reliable rides are 20-30% less than a cab - and all new users receive two weeks of free rides under the Lyft Pioneer program.

Angie Palmer is one of the drivers offering friendly, affordable rides.
