High-speed chase in Payson ends with pit maneuver

PAYSON, Utah (ABC 4 UTAH) - A high-speed chase started after an SUV was involved in a hit-and-run in Draper. The SUV then crashed into another car in Lindon.

The Utah Highway Patrol began chasing the car and noticed the driver swerving and going anywhere from 40 to 80 miles per hour. When he refused to pull over, troopers used a pit maneuver to stop him.

The driver, a man in his 60s, was taken to the hospital and troopers believe he may have been suffering from some sort of medical issue.
