Firefighters take on two alarm fire in downtown Salt Lake

- SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) -- Firefighters are still investigating the cause of a fire in downtown Salt Lake City that quickly spread because of high winds Saturday afternoon.

Crews from the Salt Lake City Fire Department were called to 970 S. 300 West and found a building with flames coming out of the back windows. High winds made the flames spread to a nearby shed, which caused crews to call out a second alarm. In all, 31 firefighters worked to put out the fire in about 15 minutes. No one was injured in the blaze.

The fire department is still investigating the cause of the fire as well as the total amount of damage to the two buildings.
