Convenience store clerk robbed at gunpoint, police say

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Police say the Maverik Convenience Store at 2700 South Main St. was held-up by a man with a gun Wednesday night.

Police say a man walked in the convenience store, pulled out a handgun, pointed the gun at the female clerk and demanded cash.

The clerk complied with suspect’s demand and the gunman left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police and K9s searched the area, but the suspect was not found.

The store employee was not injured or harmed during the robbery and no shots were fired.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic or White male / 30-35 years-old /5’7” / thin build / wearing; a baggy black, yellow & purple windbreaker / dark gray pants and white shoes.
