Bank robbery suspect arrested in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) -- A man suspected of robbing a Midvale bank last week was arrested Sunday evening in Salt Lake City.

Randy Lewis Platt, 23, is suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo bank in Midvale on Friday, March 7. Police say Plattwalked in to the bank location at 955 E. Fort Union Blvd. and handed a note to a teller demanding money. The suspect got an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. Police say he did not display any weapons during the robbery.

On Saturday, Unified Police identified Platt as the suspect in the robbery. On Sunday evening, Platt was found in a motel room at 1899 S. State St. and was arrested without incident.
