Water main break floods apartments in Murray

MURRAY, Utah (ABC 4 UTAH) - A water main break in Murray flooded several apartments Monday morning and even caused a sink hole.

Deputy Fire Marshall Patrick Killion said water from the break washed away some of the ground under the road and caused a sink hole, causing an SUV to get stuck. The driver was not injured. 10 units were damaged and anywhere from 2 to 8 inches of water filled the homes.

The flood happened near 5400 South Willow Lane. Killion estimated the damage will be in the tens of thousands of dollars.
