EMERY COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) -- Two large boulders were fell from the Gentry Mountain cliffs, in Emery County, causing a bit of trouble.

According to the Emery County Sheriff’s Office the rock slide happened on State Route 31 near mile post 27 on Sunday.

The slide did not cause any injuries to passing motorists in Huntington Canyon, but did leave large craters in the roadway.

The cause of the slide was the large amount of rain the Canyon received in September.

Utah Department of Transportation made repairs to the road and the road was reopened.

The State Route has previously been closed as a result of the large debris falling.

Last year, the massive water flow down Huntington Creek, caused damage to the shoulder of the road in many areas.
