Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal David Carnahan in Salt Lake City says Osvaldo "Ozzie" Miranda put up a fistfight with authorities and eventually was subdued with a Taser before he was arrested in Kearns about 3 a.m. Friday.
Officials had arrested Miranda June 13 as part of an investigation by the Cache-Rich Drug Task Force. But he opened the door of the Utah Highway Patrol vehicle that was taking him to the Cache County Jail and fled on foot.
Law enforcement officials have been looking for him since.
Carnahan says Miranda will likely face more charges on top of the drug charges he was arrested for last week.
