National Guard unit returns to Utah

- DRAPER, Utah (AP) - About 65 soldiers with the Utah Army National Guard are scheduled to return to Salt Lake City after a yearlong deployment in Afghanistan.

Guard officials say the Second Battalion, 211th Aviation unit is set to return about 1 p.m. Saturday to the Utah Air National Guard Base.

The pilots and crew members flew into Fort Hood, Texas, earlier this week to go through a demobilization process.

While they were in Afghanistan, the unit transported people and equipment in UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters.
