Motorcyclist crashes on his way to work, dies

WEBER COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) – A Washington Terrace man died in a crash Monday morning while he was traveling to work.

It happened around 7:40 a.m. at 4800 South and 300 West in Washington Terrace.

Deputies say a man, 61, was riding his motorcycle northbound on 300 West. He was wearing a helmet.

A woman driving a red Honda Civic was eastbound on 4800 South. Deputies say she claimed the sun was in her eyes and never saw the motorcyclist.

The motorcycle hit the Honda traveling around 30-35 miles per hour. He was taken hospital where he later died.

The woman was not injuried during the crash. She was cited for failure to yield the right of way and driving on a denied license.
