OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 UTAH) - Two young boys were almost abducted Wednesday night. The two 8-year-olds are Boy Scouts and it was quick thinking and a family's plan to have a password that is letting us tell a good story instead of a bad one. The Boy Scouts were in a parking lot near a church when the attempted abduction happened.

One of the boys told ABC 4 News, "...pulled up in a truck and said your parents want me to give you a ride and I said What's the password?"

The man came up blank. That's when the two boys ran for help and the man drove away.

Neighbor Julene Hancock said, "The little boy asked him for the password and he obviously didn't know it so the one boy took off. Then he went up to another little boy and tried to do the same thing and that boy didn't even talk to him, he just ran away."

Police describe the suspect as white or Hispanic in his mid to late twenties. He has a flat nose, blond hair that is spiked like a mohawk. He was last seen driving a dark colored late 90s Chevy S-10 truck. The truck has a long scratch down the side of it.  If you have any information on the suspect, please call police.
