Journey to headline Stadium of Fire 2015

PROVO, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) Television host Montel Williams announced Journey will headline Stadium of Fire 2015 Tuesday afternoon.

Over the years Journey has earned multiple accolades, including 19 Top 40 singles; producing 25 Gold and Platinum albums; and receiving a Diamond certification for its Greatest Hits album, marking U.S. sales in excess of 15 million.

Williams will emcee this year's event taking place July 4 at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo. 

Williams hosted The Montel Williams Show from 1991 to 2008. He won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host in 1996. Before his career in television, Williams served as a lieutenant in the United States Navy. He is the first African American enlisted Marine to complete and graduate both the Naval Academy Preparatory School and the U.S. Naval Academy. Williams, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999, is founder of the MS Foundation.

Olivia Holt, star of Disney Channel’s popular series I Didn’t Do It, will also make a special musical appearance.

Tickets to Stadium of Fire will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, March 26, at 9 a.m., and will be sold at and at the BYU Marriott Center ticket office in Provo.
