The automaker says a software problem could give false readings on the fuel gauge by as much as a quarter of a tank.
The gauges could misread on both ends of the range.
That could cause drivers to run out of fuel without any warning and put the vehicle at risk of stalling and increasing the chance of a crash.
This recall involves 2014 models of the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia. If your SUV is one of those affected, take it into the dealer, they will fix the problem for free.
