Deputies identify woman found dead in Green River

UINTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) – Deputies have identified the woman found dead in the Green River Sunday.

Deputies say Leona Jean Rowley was on a fishing trip with her husband. The husband went downstream Saturday night for a couple of hours, but when he returned he couldn’t find her.

Deputies say that’s when the husband called 911 for help.

Search and rescue crews found Rowley’s body Sunday afternoon.

The cause of death has not been determined at this time.
