Corbin hired as lead assistant for Sacramento Kings

SACRAMENTO (ABC 4 Sports) - Former Utah Jazz head coach Tyrone Corbin has been hired as the lead assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings.

Corbin spent 3 1/2 seasons as the Jazz head coach from 2011-2014, compiling a record of 112-146 and one playoff appearance.

Corbin's contract was not renewed with the Jazz and was eventually replaced by Quin Snyder.

Corbin, who played for the Kings in the 1995-1996 season and 1999-2000 season will work under head coach Mike Malone.
